I love detectives. I have many books about them, but curiously did not have one of the quintessential detective Sherlock Holmes. So, taking advantage of an offer, I got two copies of the famous researcher.

Compared with those of Agatha Christie I can say that, at least in this first part, go hand in hand, but I lean more to the Agatha. Of course I've only read two books in the series of Sherlock Holmes and I have hard to compare. As Poirot, Holmes is very vain. But the charm of Poirot not see it on Holmes. It was written in 1887 and it tells a story divided into two very different but linked together. The first part, narrated by Watson, is entitled reprint of the memoirs of John H. Watson, MD and retired Medical Corps of the British Army. This part tells how Watson and Sherlock are known and move to the same house in the 221, Baker Street. Personally, though I think a well written book, infinitely more than those of Agatha, I must say, I found the story weak. Maybe that second part that breaks with the tone of the novel, and because the character of Sherlock just appears. But I think a book out, simply because it is presented to these two unique characters that have inspired both in film and literature.
